"Stow away as much as you can!!" Now here’s a concept I have conquered! About 2 houses back (remember we have moved 4 times in the past 5 years), we moved into a townhouse that had a great garage, complete with built-in shelves with doors!! It got me totally inspired to “stow” things away. So I hit the local office supply store and bought some white banker boxes. Once they were number I started stowing, all the while making an inventory list of what was in each box. When we moved to this house, I simply had to move all the boxes that I had filled and cataloged into our new garage, it was great!
Today’s Tip ~
Don’t forget the inventory list!
Once I had everything cataloged, I made a master list in excel , now when I need something I simply refer to the list and get the box number and presto, I have my hand on the item in a matter of minutes instead of days, which used to be the case.

I think this tip will come in handy in a year or so when I actually have christmas or thanksgiving decorations.... or a garage for that matter! haha! :)
Hey everybody,
Miss overwhelmed here, first de-clutter now stow away. i haven't even finished my taxes from last year cuz my computer crashed and i have to start all over. anyway i shall not be discouraged. i will start with baby steps and start with one box for each. but again i am always open for suggestions for anyone who is blessed with the gift of either one of these skills and they are indeed skills.
it's a good thing God made the the type of person that loves challenges.
so prayer warriors, let's keep praying for each other and keep drinkin' that lemon/cranberry juice (which i am lovin' and faithfully drinkin' and that God it's the stuff that good for ya.
one more thing (i know i blog as much as i talk- tooooo much) i joined that mom's prayer group that nola suggested. thank you nola. i encourage all moms and future moms to join. You may not have kids now, but these kids are our future pastors, senators, teachers, etc.
love ya all,
missy bailey
Don't be overwhelmed my Little Missy (or anyone else for that matter)!!! You're doing great!!
Babysteps are key and remember she did say at the beginning of the book that we would not be able to do it all!!! So pick an choose and know that you are "becoming" the women God wants you to be.
Hi Ladies!
I'm back in town. While I was away I was able to keep up with the study for the most part and I have to tell you what a blessing it was to stay in God's word everyday and focus on Him rather than everything else that was going on. I felt His presence at every turn and He gave me total peace. Thank you all for your prayers.
I have a lot of catching up to do as far as decluttering my home and making tackle lists but I'll take your advice and take baby steps.
Missy, Ben is the same way, keeping clothes that I know he will never wear (nor do I ever want him to!) Maybe you can box up the clothes that "you shrunk" and stow them away for now and eventually give them away. I'm going to try that.
Nola, Happy Anniversary, Carolyn, Happy Birthday!
Hope you all have a blessed day!
Love you,
Mary
Nola, I'm so impressed with your inventory system!!!
I pray that I will be able to apply some of these great tips soon.
Mary, welcome back!
