Day 23

Boy, I'm a bit behind today, sorry!! Ever since my crazy weekend (with Beth Moore) I have been taking things at a snail's pace because I'm not so pressed this week!! I will try to be better!!!

OK, so on to today's blog and lesson! I started drinking the "lemon water" when I did her first study and although it was not always easy to get down, I knew I was doing something good for my body. And...even though it may not taste so good, it really is not the worst thing in the world.

Today's Tip

Get a Reamer!

Reamers are little, wooden, hand-held tools that help you get all the juice out of your lemon! They really are a nifty gadget. You can get them at Linens and Things in the kitchen gadget department.

Well, I off to the store to buy lemons (oh yeah and some cranberry juice)~

I LOVE lemon water...Aaron always makes fun of me at restaurants b/c I ask for it in the same exact way no matter where we are..."Water with lemon please (end with a smile...haha)". Anyway, Missy B...I read that drinking lemon water no matter which way is good for you and great to curb some of the hunger that you have before a meal...especially if you're at a restaurant b/c lemons are FREE!!! I've done research in the past on cold vs. warm things and I've read that drinking NOT cold...meaning warm/room temperature liquids (esp water) is better for your stomach for digestion. But, I'm assuming that the cleansing part that lemon water does for you is the same hot or cold since, after all, a lemon is a lemon; but don't quote me on that. =) Hope that helps ANY!

thanks for the tip and the knowledge Missy C. The hardest part of the lemon water thing for me is drinking it warm, yuck!!!

I am not a huge fan of lemon so it can be tough for me, but drinking it cool (or room temp as you suggested) may be a bit easier!!

Thanks!

I got a great ideal from my boss. If you're not that crazy about lemon water as I am, then try freezing lemon juice as ice cubes. Then add them to your water. It'll be a small taste as they melt and it's great for those who like ice tea or for parties. This way it slowly melts.

Missy, I like it better cold. Warm lemon water just doesn't sound very appealing to me.
