Hi Girls,
So here we are on Day One!!!

Just wanted to remind you that the weekly scripture is in the back of your books (pages 339 and 340) for you to cut out and carry with you!
I am not very good at memorizing scripture, but here are a few tips that have helped me in the past.
  • write the verse out on several 3x5 index cards
  • then place them where you are gonna see them throughout the day (the bathroom mirror, your car dashboard, on your computer...)
  • write the verse on a piece of paper (perhaps in your planner) 10 times
  • another great tip (and I believe I read this one of Donna Partow's books), take a piece of paper and write the first letter of each word in the verse along the left hand margin, then go back and fill in the words.
Hope this helps!! If we memorize all the verse in this study we have the entire Proverbs 31 Women passage down. Pretty cool!!!
OK Gals, keep up the good work!
Nola

Thank you Nola and Vera for setting up this Blog - it is much better than all the emails and it was really easy to get started. This should really help make the study go smoothly.

I was speaking with a good friend of mine this week and we were discussing the best way to manage those people in our lives who seem to continually discourage people or bring people down. I'm so thankful that Donna's opening lesson touched on this and was based on focusing on your relationship with HIM, placing full confidence in Him, and He will transform your life.

Ladies, allow God to use you and your gifts as a vessel for His love this week by focusing on your relationship with Him. Have a blessed week.

I agree, Missy - it is really hard in my humanness to not let people or circumstances get in the way of my walk with the Lord. If I submit my life to God and let Him lead mr, believing that He is in charge and not me and that He has my best interests at heart, then all I have to do is trust Him - no matter what! I am looking forward to the transformation God has in store for me and for every one of us!

I am excited to see what God has in store for each of us. My first lesson came on day one! I read the lesson wrote my two qualities, how to express them, my "perfect" world and my misson statement. Then I read on to Donna's and felt, Boy I sure have a narrow vision of life and my statement felt lacking. I shut the book went to bed. This morning I had some quiet time with the Lord, re-read Chapter One and all I had written. I realizd this is my world, my place at this time in life. My vision is my vision. God will help me reach it, transform it and by the 90 days, I will have it HIS way. I feel better knowing it is a "one day at a time,in God's time we will grow. Virginia

First let me say Thank you to Nola and everyone that will have a part in Gods plan with this Bible study.
My personal Mission statement is to boldly and compassionatly speak the encouragement of Jesus by loving and caring for others, letting go of the negatives that come to destroy our faith.
Missy you hit it right on the head.
Pray for them
xoxoxo T.

Well, I think I've determined that I really don't know myself very well, LOL. I think we tend to know the negatives about ourselves more than the positives. I wrote my mission statement but it wasn't easy like Donna said.

Day one really happened for me on Day two - crazy way to start! The second paragraph on page 24 was hard hitting for me - I really felt like it spoke directly to me in words I cannot combat. When saying you may have critical husband, difficult family, negative people around you BUT you can overcome and strive to be this woman of Provers 31 it reminded me of ME and the power I have over me and my mindset - God and I will be walking this journey together and I am so glad to be on this walk with all of you too.. Hugs and Blessings!
